IAS Guesthouse

This heritage-listed building from 1896 is located at Siegesstrasse 8 in the Munich city district of Schwabing. It was donated to TUM by its benefactors Fritz and Lotte Schmidtler for the purpose of hosting international guest scientists. Conveniently located between Englischer Garten and Münchner Freiheit, it is close to public transport and amenities.

TUM-IAS funded the entire renovation of the building in line with the heritage protection act. The three-storey house now contains five fully furnished one-bedroom apartments, intended primarily for TUM-IAS Fellows. It is recommended that TUM-IAS Fellows wishing to stay at the Guesthouse contact their program manager in time, since demand is very high.
