Nobel Sustainability Trust
The TUM Institute for Advanced Study (TUM-IAS) initiated in 2022 a cooperation with the Nobel Sustainability Trust (NST). The foundation registered in Switzerland since 2007 and composed of four members of the well-known Nobel family, encourages initiatives in research, development, and implementation of sustainable solutions.
A key component is the Sustainability Award supported by the Nobel Sustainability Trust Foundation, which recognizes individuals, organizations, and companies for their outstanding contributions to sustainability. The topics highlighted by the awards are announced in a specific call for nominations published once a year.
TUM-IAS leads the two-stage selection process with the expertise of two independent committees composed of international scientists and entrepreneurs.
