Bernhard A. Schrefler holds a ME degree from the University of Padua (summa cum laude), a PhD and a DSc from the Swansea University, Wales. He is Professor Emeritus of the University of Padua, Senior Affiliate Member of the Houston Methodist Research Institute, Houston TX, Hans Fischer Senior Fellow, awarded by the TÜV SÜD Foundation, at the Institute for Advanced Study, Technical University of Munich; Secretary General of the International Centre for Mechanical Sciences, Udine, Regional Editor of Mechanics Research Communications, Co-editor of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Computational Engineering, and Associate Editor of Biomedical Microdevices. He has written over 430 papers, 46 book chapters, authored 5 and edited 37 books. Dr. Schrefler is member of the National (Italian) Academy of Sciences (XL), of the Accademia Galileiana di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti, and of the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti.
The fellowship of Bernhard Schrefler was awarded by the TÜV SÜD Foundation.
