On May 31, 2023, Prof. Miranda Schreurs (Environment and Climate Policy, TUM) will talk about Three Decades of Global Climate Policy Making: Are We Making Progress?.

Abstract:
This talk will provide an overview of recent scientific findings on the state of global climate change and international policy measures, discuss what needs to be done in the next years to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and consider how win-wins can be created that could help incentivise action. The talk will focus primarily on the largest emitters — China, the United States, and the European Union (with special attention to Germany) but also mention in developments in transition and developing economies.
