Abstract:
This talk will take a quick but deep dive into how generative AI, and especially large language models, can revolutionize education for enhanced equality. By using AI's capabilities, we can create tailor-made learning experiences, bridge gaps in educational access, and analyze data to enrich our understanding of learning processes. We look into the development of Transformer models up to the current status of large language models and outline the technical background. Through illustrative examples and thought-provoking ideas, we will illuminate how AI generative power can democratize education and promote an inclusive, diverse, and fairer educational ecosystem for all.
