The TUM San Francisco Liaison Office is partnering with TUM Alumni & Career to host an online event with TUM Ambassador and TUM-IAS Fellow Alumna Polly Arnold.

Currently a professor of chemistry at UC Berkeley and director of the chemical sciences division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Polly Arnold studied chemistry at Oxford University and the University of Sussex, with postdoctoral studies at MIT as a Fulbright Fellow. Previously, she held the Crum Brown chair in the School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh. During this period, she was also a Hans Fischer Senior Fellow of the TUM Institute for Advanced Study.
In 2017, she received an Order of the British Empire for her contributions to chemistry and the promotion of women in STEM and was honored as TUM Ambassador. TUM Ambassadors are a select and exclusive group of renowned TUM research alumni who have particularly close ties with TUM.
