Abstract:
Wavelets (or small waves) are the methods of signal processing. It allows us to consider signals in frequency and time domains simultaneously. Unlike traditional spectral transforms (Fourier and others), wavelets give more information about the original signal. We are going to look at the mathematics behind Wavelets and see how it applies to various fields. Besides the traditional wavelets, we will also look at the new fast and effective methods with various features. The material is oriented and could be interesting for students of all levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD) as well as for academic staff.
