Prof. Bernhard Schrefler, holder of the TUM-IAS Hans Fischer Senior Fellowship awarded by the TÜV Süd Foundation, has been honored with the Interpore Lifetime Honorary Membership award.
The award is reserved for individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to porous media science and technology, and who are world-renown in the porous media community.
This award is given to only one individual per year. The award consists of a certificate, lifetime InterPore membership, and a travel grant of 1,000 € for participation in the InterPore Annual Meeting and Conference. Prof. Schrefler has decided to donate his travel grant to enable young African scientists to travel to next year’s InterPore conference in New Orleans.
