Short CV

From 1996 to 2001 Adrian Jäggi studied astronomy, physics and mathematics at the Astronomical Institute at University of Bern. In 2001 he was awarded Master of Science in astronomy at University of Bern. One year later he received a teaching certificate for High-School level from University of Bern.
From 2002 to 2006 he was doing his doctoral study in astronomy at the Astronomical Institute at University of Bern (AIUB) and received his Ph.D. in astronomy in 2006 (dissertation on “Pseudo-Stochastic Orbit Modeling of Low Earth Satellites Using the Global Positioining System“. Supervisor: Prof. G. Beutler).
In 2007 he became a TUM-IAS Carl von Linde Junior Fellow to work there primarily in the field of orbit and gravity field determination of Low Earth Orbiting (LEO) satellites. In Bern he was responsible for the scientific aspects of Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) in Zimmerwald since 2009.
On January 1, 2012 Adrian Jäggi became Director of the AIUB and Professor of the Phil.- nat.-Faculty of the University of Bern.
