Experience
Ulrich Marsch has more than 20 years experience in science management and science communication.
From 1996 to 2001 he was Head of Office of the President of the Max Planck Gesellschaft Hubert Markl.
As Head of Executive Communications at Infineon Technologies AG, a New York Stock Exchange listed semiconductor company he has been responsible for speeches, presentations, and articles of the Management Board and especially of the CEO from 2001 to 2006.
At the Technische Universität München, Ulrich Marsch has been Director of Corporate Communications and university spokesperson from 2007 to 2020.
After his M.A. degree in Modern History and Public International Law from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, he continued with a MSc in Economic History at the London School of Economics in 1991.
In 1996 he was awarded a PhD in Modern History from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität with a study on Industrial Research in Great Britain and Germany between 1880 and 1936.
For six years until 2020, he was Member of the Board of Bundesverband Hochschulkommunikation e.V., the German Association of Communication Professionals in Higher Education.
