About the Project

The Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection (StMUV) funded the project as a stakeholder dialogue to counteract the potential European legal consequences for inadequate protection of soil and (drinking) water resources in Germany. In Bavaria alone, only 15% of running water meets the environmental objectives of the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD). The project benefited from the general trend in politics and society and became a place of exchange between specialist disciplines and practitioners. In terms of solutions, the focus was on practical implementation to bring positive changes to the field and thus make them impactful for Bavarian agriculture.
