Research Interests

Lee works on the research of nanomaterials and nanoscience. He and his team are interested in developing controlled synthesis of nanomaterials. They have developed oxide-assisted growth method for semiconductor nanomaterials, and metal-assisted etching method to prepare large-area Si nanowires from Si wafers. These synthetic methods have excellent advantages such as simplicity, low-cost, high-yield, etc. Lee is also interested in studying the surface, electronic, structural and optical properties (Laser) of nanomaterials. His group is focused on developing nanomaterials for energy regeneration and reduction, biomedical, and catalysis applications. Lee also research on organic electronics, organic emitting diode (OLED) display technology, thin films and super-hard coatings, surface science and modification.
