Peter Nordlander

Short CV

Prof. Peter Nordlander obtained his PhD degree in 1985 at Chalmers University in Sweden. After postdoctoral positions at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Ctr at Yorktown Heights, Bell Labs at Murray Hill (USA) and at Rutgers University, he moved to Rice University in 1989 and is currently Wiess Chair of Natural Sciences and Professor of Physics and Astronomy, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Materials Science and Nanoengineering. Visiting Professorships include University of Paris, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Peking University and Wuhan University. His research background is theoretical condensed matter and nanophysics. His current research is on theoretical and computational modeling of Plasmonics and Nanophotonics phenomena. He is an associate editor of ACS Nano. He has published more than 350 refereed articles, has been cited more than 55,000 times with a Web of Science h-index well above 100, and a Thomson-Reuters Highly Cited Researcher in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science since 2013.
